INDUSTRIAL TRAINING FUND (ITF) – NECA TRAINING PROGRAM (4 POSITIONS)

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), in collaboration with Elcasa Interiors, wish to admit qualified young Nigerians of sound character and learning potential to undertake three month training programme in Basic Interior Design and Furniture Production.

1) ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Programme (Basic Interior Design and Furniture Production)
Objectives:
 To develop skilled manpower capable of meeting the demands in basic interior design and furniture production.
To promote a public-private sector partnership model in Technical and Vocational Skills Training.


The Programme:
 Successful candidates will enjoy free tuition and lunch. They will be awarded recognizable certification upon successful completion of the programme.
The Programme is entirely non – residential.
Candidates will, therefore, be responsible for their transportation and accommodation throughout the duration of the programme.


Entry Qualifications: 
Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 35 years and must possess a minimum of Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
Good numerical ability and fluency in communication skills will be an added advantage.

Oral Interview/Test

Screened candidates will be contacted to come for an oral interview/test and must bring 2 passport size photographs along with the following:

  • Educational Qualification Certificate (s),

2) Title: Technical Training Programme

Description

  • We invites applications from self-driven, motivated and qualified young individuals from Nigeria who have sound character and learning agility to undertake an intensive 18- month training programme on Technical Skills Development at our Technical Training Center in Abaji-Abuja, FCT.

Objectives:

To train and equip youths with employable technical skills.
To promote a Public Private Sector Model in Vocational / Technical Skills Training and contribute to capacity development in our country.
The Programme:
The programme will focus on two (2) core disciplines: Electrical and Instrumentation operations, Automation and Control Systems activities.
The course will last for 18 months.
Trainees will be engaged in rigorous theoretical and practical training.
Trainees will be exposed to industrial work experience in the various processes within our factory location.
Trainees will participate in continuous assessment processes and appraisals
The training programme will lead to the award of a Nestle Certificate of Participation in addition, we will prepare and enroll trainees for City and Guilds of London Technician Awards in Engineering.
Entry Requirements:
Candidates must have obtained their OND not earlier than 2016.
Minimum of Lower Credit in Ordinary National Diploma (OND) issued by a Nigerian Polytechnic in any of the following (or related) field of study;
Mechanical Engineering,Electrical and Electronics Engineering /Electrical / Installation & Maintenance Engineering, Applied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics), Applied Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Measurement and Control/Instruments, Mechanics Work, Automation Engineering.
In addition, candidates are mandatorily required to have five (5) 0-Level credits or its equivalent obtained in one (1) sitting in the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Further Mathematics/Technical Drawing/Biology

3) ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Programme (Art of Culinary)

Objectives:
This programme aims at training and equipping the trainees to master the Art of Culinary.
At the end of the programme, the trainees will be able to prepare pastries, confectioneries, African and Continental Cuisines, Cocktail Drinks, Cake Baking and Decorating.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess a minimum of the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) and must between the ages of 18 and 35 years.

4) ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Programme (Information and Communication Technology (ICT))

Objectives:
To develop skilled manpower capable of meeting the demands in ICT.
To promote a public-private sector partnership model in Technical and Vocational Skills Training.
Create job opportunities for the unemployed by providing them with training in ICT.
Upgrade technical skills to improve quality, productivity and efficiency level in the industry of ICT.
The Programme:
Successful candidates will enjoy free tuition, free lunch and monthly transport stipends.
They will be awarded recognizable certification upon successful completion of the programme.
The programme is entirely non-residential.
Candidates will, therefore, be responsible for their transportation and accommodation throughout the duration of the programme.

Requirements
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years and must possess any of the following basic qualifications: SSCE, OND, HND or B.Sc. in any field, Good numerical ability and communication skills will be an added advantage.
