We are recruiting to fill the position below:

1) Job Title: Operations & Maintenance Officer

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Reporting To: Operations & Maintenance Coordinator

Role Purpose

  • Assist in formulation of strategy for maintenance of distribution network to ensure that objectives of reliability and continuity of supply are met.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing the operations and maintenance reports
  • Maintain and monitor the database on substation/line faults, repair and other operational data.
  • Assist in formulation of strategy for maintenance of distribution network to ensure that objectives of reliability and continuity of supply are met.
  • Assists in supervising the line staff during the maintenance of all lines and Substation within the Undertaking
  • Ensure that all faults and complaints are resolved adhering to safety and quality compliance
  • Attend to faults on HT/LT lines and substations, take corrective action to resolve them and ensure where possible, that they are not repeated in sub stations
  • Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs
  • Carry out all other functions as designated in line with achieving the departmental objectives.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a reputable University with a minimum of second class upper
  • Must have completed NYSC
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience
  • Maximum age of 26 years

2) Job Title: Finance Analyst

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Reporting To: Head/ Lead / Specialist (Treasury Management/ Financial Accounting & Reporting/ Management Accounting)

Role Purpose

  • Responsible for performance monitoring, capturing and maintaining all financial transactions within the designated company locations and documenting the corresponding bills/documents as proof.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of collections, receivables, revenue, stocks, fixed assets and other Key Performance Indicators.
  • Conduct period close activities in preparing trial balance from general ledger entries for the period
  • Prepare reconciliation and variance reports which includes customer account, penalties and re-connection fees.
  • Conduct check on underlying sub ledger transactions for supporting documents/bills
  • Complying with required timetable for submission of reports
  • Periodic running and extraction of financial reports from the accounting system after successful closure of period activities
  • Maintain and record financial transactions at designated office location
  • Ensure proper documentation of proofs/bills for the respective financial transactions
  • Post sub-ledger entries and reconcile entries into general ledger
  • Carry out any other duty as requested by Line Manager

Minimum qualifications

  • Minimum of HND/ B.Sc. in Accounting, Banking & Finance or in any related field
  • 1 – 2 years of relevant experience is an added advantage

3) Job Title: Audit Supervisor

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Reporting To: Internal Audit Lead


Role Purpose

  • Will be responsible for assisting the Team Lead Internal Audit on all activities related to internal audit activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing the annual risk based internal audit plan
  • Perform risk management activities including identifying key risks facing different areas of Ikeja Electric, documenting such risks, assessing them, suggesting strong measures to mitigate them, and monitoring those risks with a view to ensuring that they are within the risk appetite.
  • Develop and update audit programmes and checklists regularly
  • Prepare audit planning memorandum for each assigned audit to guide the focus on the scheduled audit.
  • Carry out assigned field audits within the stipulated timeline and submit value adding reports within the stated deadline.
  • Conduct assigned investigations with diligent root cause analysis and submit high quality reports within the stipulated timeline.
  • Perform assigned adhoc reviews and submit appropriate and value adding reports within the advised timeline.
  • Monitor internal control operations in the assigned areas of the company’s operations and ensure timely exception reports are submitted.
  • Follow up on the approved audit reports and recommendations to ensure implementation within the stipulated timeline.
  • Vet payment, adjustment and other documents by ensuring compliance with the company’s policies, processes, and contract terms.
  • Review policies and processes of the company, identify and escalate gaps that need to be addressed.
  • Comply with Quality Management System/Operational Health & System requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Head, Internal Audit.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A good First degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any relevant science or social science field
  • MUST be a chartered/certified accountant
  • Post qualification cognate experience of 4 years in relevant sectors.
