Achieving
Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a non-profit organization that promotes
socio-economic development by supporting global health and economic initiatives
in Nigeria. AHNi currently has its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. AHNi was

  • The Senior Technical Officer –
    Monitoring & Evaluation under the supervision of the Associate
    Director Monitoring & Evaluation, and with technical oversight from
    the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, is responsible for the design
    and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for the country
    office.
  • S/he will work with others in
    the country office and state offices to ensure that monitoring and
    evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s
    M&E needs.

Responsibilities

  • Associate Director – M & E
    provides leadership support to the Director M&E in all monitoring and
    evaluation (M&E) activities for AHNI.
  • S/he supports the Director
    M&E in overall management and provision of technical inputs to improve
    and facilitate the delivery of Sound technical assistance in M&E,
    including to the Government of Nigeria (GON) and United States Government
    (USG) upon request.

  • Will work under the supervision
    of the STO Logistics & STO, HSS in the Country office (technical
    supervisors) and the Technical Officer, Laboratory Services (operational
    supervisor).
  • The incumbent will provide
    support in the planning, implementing and monitoring of health systems
    strengthening and sustainability initiatives in assigned projects.
  • S/he will especially work with
    other team members in the development of AHNi in-house capacity among the
    various departments, implementing agencies (lAs) and all tiers of
    government in all aspects of logistics and supply chain management of
    health commodities.
  • S/he will also provide
    technical support to the state’s efforts to strengthen the procurement and
    supply chain management system of health commodities using evidence based
    data from the logistics management information system, to reduce

  • MPH MBBS/MD or MLS in relevant
    fields with at least 2 years post national youth service experience in
    managing a PSM cycle (including rational health commodities selection,
    forecasting/quantification). Also 1-year progressive experience in
    supporting Health Systems Strengthening activities (such as health
    financing, human resource for health and or other related areas) is
    required.
  • Or B Pharm, BS/BA in Logistics,
    Pharmacy, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or any relevant field with 1 to 3

    Comprehensive HIV and TB Programs is to provide technical support at state
    level to implement high quality care, treatment and support activities
    with primary focus on technical areas of comprehensive TB and HIV/AIDS
    programs including laboratory, pharmacy, logistics, prevention, care,
    treatment, TB, RMNCH, mitigation, monitoring and evaluation, will also
    support the STO to provide technical leadership and engage with
    stakeholders andes approved, represent the organization to stakeholder
    events.

    duties as assigned.
Minimum
Recruitment Standards
  • MB.BS/MD/PhD or similar degree
    with 1 to 3 years of progressive relevant experience in managing
    comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.
  • Or MPH or MS/MA in relevant

    comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.
  • Or BS/BA in Pharmacy,

    in relevant degree with 5 to 7 years of progressive relevant experience in
    managing comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained
    settings.
  • For each band above, possession
    of an additional postgraduate degree in a related field is an advantage.

    training is required.

    evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the dolior and project’s
    M&E needs.

    years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level
    monitoring and evaluation system implementation for Global Health
    Initiatives
